This is an excerpt from a letter I received from Mrs. I yesterday. She is a 70yo active person, walker and hiker before the injury to her metatarsals. She was very discouraged from the previous attempts was quite apprehensive to try again but after explaining why the other devices were not working for her she gave me a chance
“I’ve been wearing the Finn Comfort you adjusted for almost 2 months along with the insert you crafted for my left foot. The rocker sole now on the left shoe long with the special insert seem to have stabilized the foot and eliminated the discomfort. The way you carved out a big “U” of space in the middle of the forepart of the insert to make a “nest” for my protruding bone so that I no longer walk “ON” it works perfectly.
After consulting with Dr. F and Dr. P and viewing a video of the surgery they recommended I was considerably less than eager to take on the risks associated with kind of operation that would be necessary to repair the damage coming from a double injury to my left foot 3 years ago. Both Dr. F and Dr. P urged me to give you a try before opting for the risky surgery. You have accomplished what no other specialty/orthopedic shoe service I’ve tried over the past 27 months failed to do. Thank you, thank you, thank you.”
